Heritage Christian Academy
Scholars Bowl
Competing in four seasons of Scholars Bowl, Ethan went to the KSHSAA state championship twice taking third place his Freshman year and first place his Junior year in HCA's first state title. He was also selected to first team all-conference in the Crossroads Conference.
Baseball
Ethan played three seasons of Baseball playing left and right field for the Chargers and was a part of the 2019 Regional Championship team. He was usually found with a small succulent named Erv which served as the rally-plant throughout the regional tournament.
Student Council
Serving four years on student council, Ethan served two years as co-class president, before being elected Student Body Vice-President his Junior year and Student Body President his Senior year. Some of his favorite memories were organizing spirit week, brining the Outlet student section out of retirement, and working with students and faculty to establish a yearly retreat.
Theatre
Ethan was a part of six musical productions during his time at HCA. Some of his favorite roles were Kurt in The Sound Of Music, the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, and the Chef in Little Mermaid.
Band
Ethan was a member of the Heritage Concert Band, Pep Band, and Jazz Band. He was selected to Three Honor Bands, All-Conference, along with receiving over eight one ratings including at regional and state competitions. His favorite memories were in the stands of every home basketball game playing in the pep band right next to the student section!
Soccer Manager
As the four year manager of the Chargers Men's Soccer Team, Ethan was a part of two regional championships, along with a fourth place finish his senior year in the KSHSAA state tournament.
Robotics
FIRST Tech Challenge
'It's More Than Just Robots'
Ethan is a five year team member of Charger robotics, serving as director of scouting, business, and outreach for three years and team captain his senior year. He was a part of four consecutive state tournaments and in 2019, Ethan was chosen to represent Kansas and Missouri at the World Championship as a national Dean's List Finalist. Although it was fun to set state and national records, Ethan's favorite part of robotics was serving alongside other local teams to create custom cars for children with disabilities in Geeks Vs Geeks.
